Authering Principles Brief (PT 2)
The following images are examples of the layouts and design of professional Photography sites from around the world. I based my layout on these and many other similar sites. One significant aspect of all of the sites I had researched is the similarity in their layouts concentrating on the photographic elements other than typography. Type is of minimal though readable size and face. All interactivity was very user friendly and simple though elegant. I tried to achieve this with my site while aiming to have a balanced layout.

Below are the four pages of the website I had produced based on the requirements from the Authering Principles' module brief. I produced all of the elements for this project myself using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The photographs were also taken be me. There is more information on the design elements of these pages in the Design Practice post as the design of the logo and layout of the site was part one of the two part brief in the combined Design Practice Module and Authoring Principles module briefs.
I found this to be the most challenging module of the first semester. The pace of the module was too fast and it was difficult to get to grips with the different languages ie. Java script, html and CSS and how they worked and where to place them. One thing I realized from this module is that I do not want to be code writer. It is a skill that one needs to tune in to early in life. This website is designed to fit with other high end Professional Photography sites on the net though remaining unique.
